The Irish Open Golf Championship will return to Northern Ireland this year and will be held at the world-class links golf course, The Royal Portrush. Northern Ireland is taking the golf world by storm with it's home grown talents Darren Clarke, Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell claiming some of the most prestigious silverware in Golf.
The Championship which takes place from Thursday 28th June to Sunday 1st of July will attract visitors from every corner of the earth as well as being watched by millions on TV and online.

If you would like the opportunity to volunteer and be involved in the Irish Open and ni 2012 please read the below information on the event and how to apply:

NITB, in partnership with Volunteer Now are looking for a number of "Welcome Ambassador" volunteers. This role will be for those who have great people skills, are proud of Northern Ireland and want to make people feel warmly welcome. Volunteer involvement on the day will make visitors feel welcome and make the Irish Open the best possible experience for all. |

Welcome Ambassadors will be based in teams at the five park & ride sites located in the local area and centrally in Portrush to welcome all those arriving for the Irish Open. |

Welcome Ambassadors who wish to avail of this exciting opportunity and play an important part in ni 2012 will be asked to
-volunteer a minimum of 2 days between 28th June - 1st July inclusive
-meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years by the application closing date
-make their own way to the venues and be aware that this role will be physically challenging with long periods of time on their feet. |

Welcome Ambassadors will receive 1 day mandatory training on either 15th, 16th or 19th June at the Magherabuoy Hotel, Portrush. All training materials will be included. |

In recognition of their commitment, Welcome Ambassadors will also receive an all day golf pass for either the Saturday or Sunday. |
