NITB Green Tourism Masterclass

"Green Tourism - Making it Work" will address the 'how to' of sustainable tourism. It is designed to provide practical information which you can apply to your business or organisation in order to start improving your bottom line and green credentials.

After a key note address from Sustainability expert Dick Strawbridge, you will attend a series of practical workshops focusing on the following areas;

  • Energy consumption
  • Green certification
  • Marketing your green credentials
  • Supporting local wildlife
  • Waste management

These workshops will be hosted by experts from professional bodies in the relevant fields including the Energy Institute, International Centre for Responsible Tourism, WRAP (the Waste and Resources Action Programme) and the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

This Green Tourism Masterclass follows on from NITB's first 'Tourism and the Green Agenda Masterclass' in 2011 which addressed the business opportunities around sustainable tourism.
